Energy Systems Analysis addresses current challenges for a sustainable, affordable, and secure energy supply. The focus is on the scientific analysis of energy systems and on developing the energy economic framework.

The team brings together experts with backgrounds in engineering, economics,  social sciences, architecture, geography, and physics. Its portfolio includes

  • concepts for energy supply and climate protection, feasibility studies, and market analysis
  • consultancy services for policy-makers and business

Key topics are renewable energies, combined heat and power (CHP), electric mobility, energy-efficient buildings, energy storage systems, as well as heat and electricity  grids.
